What is Massage?

Massage can be for relaxing or a remedial treatment. When muscles, tendons and connective tissue become restricted, knotted and tense from strains and stresses of daily life, having a massage can be very beneficial to return the body to a state of wellbeing. Massage can assist the body to relax, recover from injuries, relieve pain whether acute or chronic and mobilise stiffened joints. Massage may be combined with other therapies such as Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy to enhance a treatment.  It is beneficial during pregnancy.

Some of the ailments massage can treat are: migraines and headaches, back, neck and shoulder pain, jaw dysfunctions, stiff and painful joints (hips, knees, ankles, feet).
